Should the 8th Pay Commission's Terms of Reference be amended to cover pension and family pension revision for REWA members?

The Retired Employees Welfare Association (REWA), a pensioners’ body, has urged the Centre to amend the 8th Pay Commission’s Terms of Reference (ToR) to cover pension and family pension revision for retirees before 1 January 2026.

• Option 1: Amend the ToR now to include pensions for retired members
• Option 2: Stick to original terms, it's working fine on time
